Is it really worthy to buy and register keyword rich domains to improve the search rankings?
The answer is YES, It is worthy to buy and register keyword rich domains to help to boost rankings in the search engines. Why? The answer is because having keywords in the URL is still one of the online SEO factors taken into account by the search engines like Google to rank websites. If the keywords you are looking to rank for are highly competitive having a keyword rich domain won’t be very helpful as offline SEO factors like the quality and affinity of the backlinks of the site will play a predominant role to rank a website for some given keywords but still a keyword rich domain will help to rank a little for those highly competitive keywords.
Regardless of how competitive the keywords we are trying to rank for are, we have to bear in mind that in every Google Panda update the SEO online criteria have always counted as of 20% maximum importance to rank a website for some given keywords and that around 80% of our search engine rankings have to do with the offpage criteria which are mostly the quality and affinity of the backlinks pointing back to our website.
I am usually having a look on Flippa.com websites, the most popular site for buying and selling websites, and I have seen websites easily ranking on first or second page of Google for keywords with low competition that matched exactly the domain name of the website.
So I have seen websites ranking in first page of Google for the group of keywords “Galaxy Tab Buy” or “Cheap Seo Backlink” wich are low competition group of keywords just because their domain names match exactly that group of keywords and just adding some miminal backlink building efforts to it.
